India A emerged victorious in the ACC Emerging Nations Cup 2023, defeating Pakistan A by 11 runs in a thrilling final at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on July 23, 2023. Pakistan A, who had won the toss and elected to field first, put up a spirited performance but were unable to chase down India A's impressive total of 193/6.

India A got off to a solid start with openers Prithvi Shaw and Yashasvi Jaiswal putting on 49 runs for the first wicket. After Shaw's dismissal for 26, Jaiswal continued to anchor the innings and scored a brilliant 76 before being dismissed in the 14th over. Rajat Patidar also played a significant role with a quickfire 33 off 19 balls, while Ayush Badoni chipped in with a valuable 28 off 17 balls.

Pakistan A's bowlers tried their best to restrict India A, with Mohammad Hasnain taking two wickets and Aamer Jamal claiming one. However, they were unable to contain the Indian batters, who kept the scoreboard ticking over throughout the innings.

In their chase, Pakistan A lost early wickets but Tayyab Tahir steadied the innings with a brilliant century. Tahir scored 109 off 67 balls, including 9 fours and 5 sixes. His knock kept Pakistan A in the hunt, but they ultimately fell short of the target, reaching 182/8 in their allotted 20 overs.
