Kino - Das Arsenal - Institut für Film und Videokunst, a renowned institution for film preservation, distribution, and exhibition, will be vacating its current location at the Filmhaus on Potsdamer Platz by the end of 2024.

The move is part of Arsenal's ongoing efforts to safeguard its extensive film archive and continue its mission of promoting independent cinema. In 2026, Arsenal will open its new cinema in the West Hall of the silent green Kulturquartier in Berlin.

The relocation will provide Arsenal with a modern and accessible space to screen films, host events, and engage with the public. The new cinema will also house Arsenal's extensive archive of films, ranging from silent classics to contemporary experimental works.
